Helen Raymond is newly elected to Wirral Borough Council in May 2023

'I first moved to Wirral in 1981 and since that time have always lived in the Eastham and Bromborough area. I know the locality well having worked on Wirral since I qualified as a doctor in 1982. For most of my professional life I worked in community child health and family planning and more latterly specialised in psychosexual medicine, based at Eastham clinic and a number of other locations within Wirral. I am used to dealing with and managing complex problems and have seen at first hand the difficulties experienced in daily life by the people living in this part of Wirral.  Although this is the first time that I have sought election, I have prepared carefully by shadowing the current councillors Phil Gilchrist and Chris Carubia.'
