Councillors work to get damage cleared up and sorted out

In December 2024 and January 2025 the paving and grass on the corner of Kingsley Avenue coming out of Lowfields Avenue was driver over by a vehicle pulling a trailer. Temporary tarmac repairs to this problem were destroyed.

Our local councillors pressed, once more, for work to solve the problems in the area. Some of the roads on the Mill Park estate have been widened over the years. Yet grass verges, especially on the corners, are often driven over - larger lorries often go over them in order to turn and swing round.

As funding is hard to get hold of our local team continue to press for work in the most damaged locations - this was clearly one of them.

Our regular report have led to the damaged verge, broken paving stones and the dangerous eyesore being replaced with an area of concrete that will last.
