Tom Sutton - Rock Ferry 2022

March 28, 2022 10:53 PM

Tom has lived on the Wirral for all his life bar his time at university. He graduated from Lancaster University in 2021 with a degree in Politics and International Relations and is currently completing his Master's in Diplomacy and Foreign Policy. Involved in youth and student politics since a young age, he joined the Liberal Democrats at 16 in 2016 and has been an active member since. He was elected Co-President of Lancaster University Liberal Democrats 2019/20 and is currently Vice-Chair of North West Young Liberals. He currently works in student outreach engaging with groups underrepresented in Higher Education

Tom is standing in his home ward of Rock Ferry as a Liberal Democrat because he thinks Wirral has the potential to be better. Underfunding has let our communities struggle but investment and regeneration means Wirral's best days could lay ahead as shown by the plans for Byrne Avenue Baths and Rock Ferry Waterfront. As a Liberal Democrat Councillor, Tom believes he can support residents of Rock Ferry in their community work and fight to ensure that development serves to support all Wirralians and protect what makes our home special.
