    We will surely be subject to weeks of the Conservative leadership contenders trying to win votes from the affluent, narrow-minded, right-wing members of the Conservative party by promising massive tax cuts.

    It is true that Lib Dem policy is for a short-term reduction in VAT, reduction of tax on small businesses and getting rid of the N.I. increase. But these are short-term to support people going through the cost of living crisis.

    When chaos reigns in the Conservative Party we can sit back and enjoy it, or look for its origins. Boris Johnson was chosen as Conservative leader by their members because he was most likely to keep them in power. They didn't care about his character. They simply wanted to win at all costs. They're good at winning as they have been in government for almost fifty of the last seventy-five years.

    The Bank of England governor, Andrew Bailey, has warned inflation is set to be higher for longer here in the UK, and growth in the economy weaker too.

    The key measure of UK trade performance, the current account, reached its worst levels on record in the first quarter.

    Measures of core goods inflation are markedly higher than the eurozone.

Applications to build on Green Belt land requires "exceptional circumstances". Pictured below is the site they plan to build on adjoining Milner Road and Barnston Road, Heswall.
